Dya Logue: I owe the hood, we owe the hood (4x) 1. The power of a true artist cannot be found in brag and boast, but in the ability to inhale life and exhale respect - we build 2. And while many opt to loudly retrofit manifestos with certificates of self self self self - we build 3. In silence and humility as taught by the great and not so great ones - we build 4. Never forsaking heritage nor significance of Hip Hop's elements past, present nor future - we build 5. With mannerisms stamped peaceful, yet highly combatant when engaging in dialog - we build 6. With blatant disregard of monetary benefits and mainstream compliance requirements, yes we build 7. Syllable by syllable, beat by beat, banking on education - we build 8. Scarred by decades of controversy and unfounded backlash yet (4x) we build 9. From 0031 to Global Wood resonating 1 noise GR2GR to GR we build (8x) on A premise and promise to move forward as 1, come on we build. By standing up for those sat down, we build. By giving you respect and not getting it back, we build. By putting people before any likes, we build we build. By putting people before any likes come on we build. By putting people before any likes We got 400.000 kids living below the poverty line in our own fucking backyards 0031 Hip Hop - people before any likes. 94.000 at the foodbanks - people before any likes. 115.000 can't pay their mortgage every month - people before any likes. 600.000++ unemployed - people before any likes And it ain't all the politicians' fault, we have to assume our own responsibility, our own accountability 0031 Hip Hop. And as we pick up that mic in condescension or ROI central we need to understand that the problems we are facing right now are way way bigger than the sum of our compounded ego's therefore therefore therefore from one leader to another, from one artist to another and from one human being to another I'm asking you to lay down our differences - people before any likes. Whether you Zulu, GR2GR, oldskool, newskool, affiliated or not affiliated , we need to move forward as 1 - people before any likes Got to pay respect to 24K - people before any likes. Got to pay respect to the Zombi Squad, people before any likes. Got to pay respect to The Tunnel, Soeki aka DRC, DJ Bite, DJ Low Pro, DJ NBC. Come on, people before any likes. Got to pay respect to all those who came up before me, All Star Fresh, ELjay Wix, LTH, Deams. The 599, 597, the 297, Dangerzone, 6FM, Handzup Network , Unique Music. Come on (4x) people before any likes. Come on (4x) putting people before any likes. Paying respect to Stacks and Slim, Ryan Waal, Lex Prins. And right about now I got to pay respect to one of the illest and most innovative and creative artist I had the honor to work with in the past 27 years, ladies and gentlemen make some fucking noise for the one and only Frietboer, putting peope before any likes (2x)

about

Frietboerism proudly presents a new 5 track album-release accompanied with a video/short docu. The music is made by beatmaker Frietboer. The lyrics are written by Dya Logue (24K, The Tunnel, #GR2GR), as Frietboer does additional verses on 3 tracks.

The album: “Truth” consists of speaking out on topics like; awareness in the Dutch Hip Hop culture, spreading knowledge and is also a call for nationwide unity. Frietboer made some fine underground beats while Dya Logue delivered constructive critisism. The video was shot at Radio Kootwijk (NL) to emphasize how people treat their heritage, culture, wealth and social environment.

We thank Faktor Taktloos for donating his time to shoot and edit the video: 170 - a PSA by Dya Logue (24K, The Tunnel, #GR2GR) which can be found at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=25EXyYRqEoI
